Red Hook's 9-10 baseball all-stars hold on to hand Pawling a 10-8 defeat (2010-06-28)

A superb pitching effort from Ian Anderson and a strong team effort on offense helped Red Hook stave off Pawling by a score of 10-8 in a District 17, 9-10 baseball game played at Father Carroll Field in Red Hook.

Red Hook erupted for five runs in the second inning and four more in the fourth inning to pull away from Pawling.

Ryan Schneider collected a pair of singles, scored two runs and stole two bases for the winners. James Flood hammered two basehits with Henry Thynes clubbing a triple for Red Hook.

In addition to his stellar pitching, Anderson had a single and scored a run. Ryan Schneider and Eric Decker pitched in relief for Red Hook.
