Red Hook Little Leaguers outslug Poughkeepsie to stay alive ib District 17 tournament (2010-07-10)

Patrick Troy clubbed a long homerun and also clouted a double as Red Hook's Major League tournament team slammed its way past City of Poughkeepsie by a score of 16-10 on Saturday afternoon.

Kevin Jordan had a big day at the dish with a triple and a pair of singles with teammate Greg Karpinski smacking a triple and two singles for a perfect 3-for-3 day in the batter's box. Karpinski also tallied two runs.

Connor Christiansen added to the offensive firepower with two singles, two bases on balls and three runs scored. Devin Scott's two innings of strong relief pitching preserved the victory for Red Hook.
