Former Red Hook High School star Chris Sanger finished third at Thursday's MGA/MetLife Public Links Championship at Spook Rock Golf Club in Suffern, New York.
Brian Komline won the tournament with a total 138 for 36 holes. Sanger ended up tied for third place on the afternoon. He carded rounds of 70 and 73 in the blistering heat.
Sanger finished with six birdies on the day and played near error-free golf in the morning before faltering slightly in the afternoon round.
